Professor Adel Shamran, a faculty member from our college, participated in the discussion committee for a master’s thesis at the College of Law at the University of Babylon on “The Legal System for Divorce Due to the Absence or Loss of a Husband – A Comparative Study,” by student Fatima Nizam.
The study included an overview of the concepts of absence and loss, distinguishing them from other similar cases, and the effects of absence and loss on the marriage contract.
The subject of the study is a practical one that raises many legal issues that require legislative intervention to address them. This is consistent with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which emphasizes the need to select topics that touch on practical reality and address real problems.
